The History of Geisha Brand
Ever since 1911, when we launched Geisha Brand King Crabmeat, we have continued
to improve upon our reputation as high quality canned fruits, seafood, oriental
vegetables and mushrooms in the United States. Additionally, we sell these products
as well as other farm products in Europe, the Middle-East, Africa and Asia.
The company was begun by two entrepreneurs, the two Nozaki brothers, early in the 20th century. They established Nozaki Brothers, Inc. in San Francisco in 1907, their main business being the importation of agricultural products, leather goods, and other items from Japan. They also worked in a local canning factory, and with this knowledge became involved in the canning industry, selling canned crabmeat and shrimp in the U.S.
